Entrepreneurial Journal #1
Welcome to the first of my planned monthly ‘Journal’. I intend to summarize what’s happened in my blog-venture the past month to show you the reality of day to day entrepreneurship. See how I avoided calling it a diary. It’s a journal see, and in this journal, I will go through my income and expenses, my success measures, and generally what’s changed since last time. I also want to delve into any challenges I’ve face, and successes along the way. If I’ve learned something useful, I’ll try to throw it your way as well.
Hello to you, my maybe new or returning reader! It’s a good day, the sun is shining, well at least in the non-literal way. Today I have some exciting but also shocking news for you! I am going to stop writing about technology and business. Boom. Mic Drop.
Instead, I will be writing about entrepreneurship and my experiences as an entrepreneur. Whoa! Hold up, you might be thinking, why this sudden change of subject. Well, you have come to the right spot for the answer. I’m going to walk you through my recent epiphany, and what led me to change my course, or pivot if you want.
The City That Never Sleeps
I visited New York City, or mostly Manhattan with a short trip to Brooklyn and Staten Island. I also made the trip to Washington DC. Had to get the new profile pics in front of the white house. Other tourist things to check off my list. Times square, central park, Harlem, Korean BBQ, museums, and the Washington monument. Oh, and I did eat a really good smoked hot dog, whilst seeing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Felt like a real New Yorker then, I’m walk’n here.
YouTube, Podcast and America
After a lot of ‘behind the scenes’ work, I’m getting ready to launch my YouTube channel, which will be another way for you guys to stay updated on technology trends and the business side of them. If that wasn’t enough though, I’m also starting a weekly podcast about entrepreneurship. In completely different news! Tomorrow I’m going on a week long trip to the Americas.
My Early Takeaways from Starting A Blog
It’s been roughly 2 weeks since starting my blog, publicly at least, and I’ve learned a couple of lessons along the way. That’s’ why I wanted to get up and personal for this one. I’ll do these posts from time to time, so it’s not all ‘return on investment’, and ‘augmented reality’ here.
